Our abundant, natural environment is fed by the many watersheds, rivers, and streams known collectively as "The Oak".

We are particularly fortunate to live in a region rich in the beauty, action, form, and light inherent in:

• Plentiful rivers, streams, waterfalls,and swamp lands
• Flourishing indigenous woodlands, vegetation, wildflowers, and wild life
• World-class fishing on The Oak and Lake Ontario
• A number of quaint villages and hamlets
• Historical icons including the Erie Canal and Medina sand-stone buildings
• Cobblestone buildings, early American barns, and Victorian-era architecture
• The activity and bounty of our small to medium-size farms, fruit orchards, vineyards, and farm markets
• Amish and Mennonite families, farms, and industries
• Verdant springs, busy summers, brilliant autumns, enchanting yet rugged winters
